Your easiest way to Zermatt

Zermatt is car-free. Every visitor arrives by the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn from Visp or Brig, or parks in Tasch and takes the shuttle train. Zurich and Geneva are the usual airports.

A destination for every season

There are two main seasons. Winter, roughly December to April, is for skiing. Summer, roughly late June to September, is for hiking, and most mountain lifts run then. In May and November many lifts close for maintenance and the town is quiet.
