A destination for every season
There are two main seasons. Summer, roughly late June to September, is for hiking, and most mountain railways and lifts run then. In winter, roughly December to April, the ski slopes are higher up, at Mürren, Wengen and Grindelwald, reached by train or cable car from the valley. In May and November many lifts close for maintenance.
